And this little idea went to market.
How do you get your great idea converted into a great product and then start selling the product and making money? Launch It! tries to take you through the steps, starting with identifying customers, getting funds and marketing.
The book includes information about media relations and industry associations, and there are three full chapters on trade shows, which appear to be the authors’ real area of expertise. But be warned you’ll also have to wade through an entire throwaway section on weather in various cities, several careless typographical errors, and lots of annoying exclamation points!
Launch It! contains some practical tips and a good resource listing. But it’s only a beginner’s guide to product development, so if you’re serious about establishing a business you’ll need more in-depth information than you’ll find floating in the froth here. Even so, the book might help you - and your idea – get started down the road to market.
