Did you know there is an “i” in team? Okay, maybe the “i” is actually in the word “win”, which is what you want your team to do. It’s also in “individuals”, who make up every team.

The Winning Spirit is about that “i” – or, more precisely, you. The principles – 16 of them, to correspond to Mr. Montana’s jersey number – are designed to help you achieve success. Your success, in turn, creates success for your family, work or sports team.

The ideas in The Winning Spirit are not new – set goals, visualize reaching them, learn from setbacks – but sports fans will no doubt enjoy the way they’re illustrated by stories from Mr. Montana’s football career. Even non-fans may find it’s easy to be inspired by the book’s upbeat, encouraging tone. If that kind of motivation is all you’re looking for, this re-packaged version of an old formula may be worth a read.
